Hello Everyone,
Welcome to Playing Golf. Let me set into play all of the participants of this true golf story. First this story revolves around a bi-weekly golf match between a group of men who worked together and see each other four or five days a week. Larry will be one of the main charcters of this story, he was once the best golfer of this group. Who's names are Westley, Able, Mike and myself DG.
We would play golf at courses in LA and surrounding area's and as far away as Palm Springs. Larry would find a way for there to be enough golfers to complete two groups,which would play behind each other.Often John a good friend of Larrys would play in one of these groups .John had become a regular and was consider one of our core group golfers. There was always a small bet and we enjoyed each others company.
Larrys great golf shots were often dicussed by the group in the lunch room on Monday's following their round of golf from Friday's pass. This is where I; DG come into the story. I was never a golf type person I never thought much of the game and did'nt see much sense in hitting a ball finding it to only hit it again.
This could become a very long story, one that a book could evolve from. I; DG on a dare from Larry that I would never ever beat him in golf. DG was determined to prove Larry wrong and set out to do just that. In DG's pursuit to beat Larry at golf. He fell in love with this game of golf and wondered why in his adolescent years of life he had not thought of it nor wanted to watch it on TV. DG faced some challenging times in his pursuit to become a better golfer than Larry, and in a shorter than expected time he became competitive with Larry. Eventually becoming a better golfer.This story is just beginning.
